Thiruvananthapuram is the southernmost district of Kerala. The city of Thiruvananthapuram is also the State Capital of Kerala. It’s name means the abode of Lord Anantha, the sacred thousand-headed serpent who forms the couch on which reclines Lord Vishnu, the preserver. Built on 7 hills, it is a relaxed and easygoing place, liberally covered by green, low-lying paddy fields and coconut palms.  A place where tradition and space technology meet, Thiruvananthapuram truly represents the contrasts India is well known for.

Get involved in this project and let’s show the world what Kerala’s all about!

Kerala is such a vast and diverse place that it is impossible to fit everything about it onto a website! Do you have an extra little something to add to make our site even more informative, colorful and vibrant? Or do you have a special little tit-bit or story about the place you grew up in?
