Paintings in Kerala, date back at least a thousand years. From the earliest murals found in a cave shrine in Travencore to the rich detailed paintings of Raja Ravi Varma, to the critically acclaimed work of K C S Paniker; Kerala's art has always shown exemplary style and fluid grace. Today, Kerala's tradition of art lives on in schools, art institutes and more importantly, in the hearts and souls of Kerala's many artistic sons and daughters.
