Basking in the idyllic setting of the serene Arabian Sea
on the west and proud peaks of the Wayanad Hills on the
east Kozhikode has all the elements fascinating
to visitors: a sandy costal belt, rocky highlands and a laterite midland. It also has a colorful history, being
one of the most important centres of the spice trade in
the 13th and the 14th centuries.
Traders from China, Arabia and later from Europe, have
enjoyed Kozhikode’s hospitality. Today, Kozhikode is a
bustling city where business still thrives.

what Kerala’s all about!
Kerala is such a vast and diverse place that it is
impossible to fit everything about it onto a website!
Do you have an extra little something to add to make
our site even more informative, colorful and vibrant?
Or do you have a special little tit-bit or story about
the place you grew up in?
