JOSHI

Joshi John, is a professional photographer who started taking pictures at the age of 11. He has a diploma in photography from the Institute of Pune (PIGP)  and is currently doing a part time course in Mechanical Engineering. He has won many competitions through the years and recently won a brand new camera. Needless to say most of the photos on the website are Joshi's handiwork.

It was a chance meeting with Ismail followed by exchange of ideas that resulted in Joshi becoming a part of the Amartya team. He whole heartedly welcomed this break as it allowed him to pursue his passion 'photography'.

Joshi

What the team has to say: Joshi aka Sanjay

He is very quiet and lovable. Friendly and caring. He is a great photographer and has a reputation for being a 'perfectionist'. His talent is a lot bigger than him (He is a real skinny guy!). King of his own world, has a tendency to forget little things, like his bike keys or to press the 'save' button on the computer before closing hours of hard work ! A staunch supporter of non-violence. A very loyal person.

Likes and Dislikes:

His passion is photography and that seems to be all-consuming. He has a weakness for 'pretty pictures'! Loves chatting on the net and making friends online. Loves 'tapiocca chips'. Does not like meat and doesn't like Malayali girls wearing outright western outfits ! ssshhh....

Special Qualities:

He would climb on top of or go under anything, anywhere to get a good photograph! Once Joshi and a few friends went to the forests in Wayand to take a few photos. But alas, they ended up face to face with a stray elephant (stray elephants are usually known to be very insecure and don't hesitate to attack) So everybody prepare to retreat. But to the utter disgust and horror of his friends Joshi decides to stay and take a photo of the charging elephant and had to be literally carried away by his friends !
