why?
She makes the best fish curry in the world.
She knows all the loveliest lullabies.
She tells the most fascinating and interesting stories.
She always takes your side, especially when mum and dad are
angry with you.
She has the best jewelry collection in the family.
She always has a hug ready for you.
And best of all, she’s always willing to indulge your every
whim.
Most grandmothers tend to get very religious and they spend a
lot of time in prayer or at the temple or church.
She is very superstitious
She is the one who instills morals and values in the younger
generation
She is the one who represents the family in weddings
She is an excellent matchmaker
She is very protective of her loved ones

Especially when both the child’s father and mother are working
grandparents take on the role of being the child’s guardian. A
child’s first and most loved friend in life are grandparents.
The infamous generation gap seems to disappear between
grandparents and their grandchildren. No matter how harsh the
discipline of the parents, grandparents have a way of making it
all better
