The Home made wine of Syrian Christians

 

Now, allow me to tell you how to make pineapple wine.

Now, allow me to tell you how to make pineapple wine.

Ingredients

Quantity

pineapple (skin and the flesh cut into pieces)

2 kgs

sugar

2 kgs

water

20 cups

yeast

2 tsp

Boil pineapple, sugar and water. Remove from fire and add yeast. When cool keep in air-tight jars.

After 22 days strain the contents of the jars through  a fine cloth, folded up in 5 or 6 layers. Afterwards pour back the juice in the jars. Do not squeeze the contents of the cloth. After another 22 days wine can be used. It will have a better taste if kept in a  refrigerator
