Now, allow me to tell you how to make potato bondas.

Now, allow me to tell you how to make potato bondas.

Ingredients

Quantity

potatoes (boiled and mashed)

2 cups

oil

1 dsp

mustard

1/2 tsp

black gram dhal

2 tsp

cashewnuts (finely chopped)

1 dsp

red chillies (cut in 4)

2 nos

red chilli powder

1/4 tsp

turmeric powder

1/8 tsp

lime juice

to taste

Clean, wash and soak the dhal in water. Drain it after 4 or 5 hours and grind it into a coarse paste.

Mix all the ingredients with the dhal paste. Roll the mixture into balls the size of a large lime. While dropping them into the boiling oil, flatten them with the fingers. When they are fried golden brown lift them from oil on to a strainer.
