Mango peruku

 

 (A tangy accompaniment which goes very well with rice)

To prepare "Mango Peruku".....

Ingredients

Quantities

mango pieces

1 cup

curd

1 cup

shredded coconut

1 cup

mustard

2 tsp

oil

2 dsp

curry leaves

a sprig

green chili

8 nos

dry chili

3 nos

fenugreek

1/2 tsp

salt

to taste

  1.  

Take the mango pieces, rub with salt; grind with shredded coconut, mustard, green chili and salt.

Blend in curd and water

Splutter mustard in oil and add fenugreek, curry leaves and broken chili. Stir well and remove from fire.

Check taste and serve warm.

A good accompaniment for rice, a specialty dish prepared on rare occasions.
