( A tangy accompaniment)

Considered to be the best accompaniment for Rice

 

Here's a very exotic way to have your yogurt!

Ingredients

Quantities

Yogurt 

2 tbsp

Coconut paste

1/2 cup

Oil 

1tbsp

Mustard seeds

pinch

Onion

1 tbsp chopped

Whole red chilly

4 broken

Garlic

1/2 tsp

Ginger

1 tsp

Curry leaves

a sprig

Fenugreek powder

1/4 tsp (optional)

Cumin seeds

1/2 tsp

Turmeric

1/8 tsp

  1.  

    1. Mix coconut, curd and green chilies in a blender.
    2. Add 1-cup water, red chilly powder, turmeric and salt. Bring to a boil. Remove
    3. Heat the oil .Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and fenugreek seeds
    4. Now add the chopped onion, the red chilies, garlic, the ginger and the curry leaves.
    5. Add to the yogurt curry.
    6. Can add vegetables like zucchini, yam, etc. Add cooked vegetables before adding the curd.

    Note - Yogurt should be brought to boil only once
